 Hire Purchase - Previous Credit Problems

 Personal Contract Hire

 

Personal Contract Hire is contract hire for the private individual. This is fixed term, fixed cost financing for cars. This has become a popular option with users opting out of company cars or people who are looking for a consistent or lower monthly payment which they can budget for.

All vehicles are subject to a fixed mileage allowance as agreed by the customer and finance company providing the contract.

A full maintenance package is available at an additional cost.

Contract periods vary but are usually for a two or three year period and are based on 3 monthly payments as a deposit followed by a fixed amount of monthly payments of 23 or 35 (depending on whether it is a two or three year contract (The deposit is not refundable).

 

 Personal Contract Purchase (PCP)

 

Personal Contract purchase has similar benefits to contract hire regarding fixed payments and flexible terms but you have the guarantee of knowing you can own the vehicle at the end of the contract.

A full maintenance package is available.

Ownership passes to the customer at the end of the personal contract purchase agreement when all payments have been made including the final payment. That is, if you do want to keep the vehicle, most people however, opt to change into a new one!
